We were just informed that President Joe Biden will participate in a meeting at the Working Families Rally this Saturday, October 26th.

It is an honor to have a sitting US President visit our union hall. This event will undoubtedly be a significant milestone in our Laborers' history, and we are excited to witness the unity and strength of our members at this historic event.

For the safety and security of all attendees, please be aware that the Secret Service will be on-site and strictly enforce a no-weapons policy. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

Due to the increased security presence on Saturday, please keep in mind the following security requirements:

 

​​Location:

Please arrive at the corner of 7th St. & Fort Duquesne, Pittsburg , PA 15222 for security screening. A link to the location can be found HERE.

 

Arrival:

Guests may arrive at the security screening on the corner of 7th St. & Fort Duquesne beginning at 9:30.

 

Parking:

Two public parking locations are suggested (not reserved) for this event. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center (1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15222) and Theater Square Garage (667 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222) both allow for paid public parking. Parking is not guaranteed.  See the arrival map below for further details.

 

Security:

A United States Secret Service (USSS) security checkpoint for all guests will be located at the entrance to the event. All guests will be subjected to an airport-like security screening.

 

The following items will not be permitted:

• Large bags

• Posters or signs

• Large umbrellas

• Knives, firearms, weapons, and otherwise sharp or dangerous objects

• Any other item deemed hazardous by the United States Secret Service
