Political Action

Robert Kramm

Legislative and political action is critical to building and maintaining a strong and viable union -- especially in the construction industry.

Prevailing wage laws, the right to collectively bargain, worker's compensation, unemployment benefits, occupational safety and health laws, are just a few of the many laws designed to protect the standard of living and quality of life for all working families.

For that reason, Laborers' District Council of Western PA monitor legislation, participate in campaigns and elections, and communicate with government officials and staff to make sure that the voices of construction craft laborers and our families are heard at all levels of government.
