On The Job Training
Apprentices are required to complete a minimum of 288 hours of classroom and hands on training at the Western Pennsylvania Laborers’ Education and Training Center in Saxonburg, PA. To complete the apprenticship program - 4,000 hours of on the job training is also required. This includes general skills such as site and project preparation and maintenance, safety tools, equipment and material recognition, specifi c skills in environmental accreditation, building construction, and Heavy/Highway construction. |
