Apprenticeship

On The Job Training

 

Apprentices are required to complete a minimum of 288 hours of classroom and hands on training at the Western Pennsylvania Laborers’ Education and Training Center in Saxonburg, PA. To complete the apprenticship program - 4,000 hours of on the job training is also required. This includes general skills such as site and project preparation and maintenance, safety tools, equipment and material recognition, specific skills in environmental accreditation, building construction, and Heavy/Highway construction.
