Located in downtown Pittsburgh, the Laborers’ District Council of Western Pennsylvania is the hub for the 33 counties of the western half of the state.  The Council has been the driving force in maintaining and developing a strong union presence in Western Pennsylvania, and throughout the state as well.  Innovative leadership and the development of new initiatives have made the Laborers' a progressive group, leading the way in labor/management relations, training, and safety.

LIUNA - The Laborers’ International Union of
North America—is the most progressive,
aggressive and fastest-growing union of
construction workers, and one of the most
diverse and effective unions representing
public service employees.


LIUNA members are on the forefront of the

powerhouse of 12 million workers producing 5
percent of our countries’ economic output.
